Dave "Tiger" Williams Simply the nastiest tough guy ever. He was what hockey should be.
Dave Brown He is at least the second best fighter ever IMO. One mean lefty.
Tie Domi For a guy this size to be as feared and effective as he was is quite an accomplishment. He could take a punch as good as anyone and he would stand in with the best and go toe-to-toe. Plus he was Probie's biggest rival. Also was a Tiger Williams guy.
Bob Probert Probably the best fighter ever, he had rivalries with all the best fighters of his time.
Jay Miller One of the best jaws in hockey and he was willing to go with anybody.
Jay Wells One of the most underrated fighters ever. Very tough guy and a fan favorite everywhere he has played.
Wendel Clark Loved watching this guy play. A true power forward. Could fight any goon, plaster guys to the boards, then go score the game winning goal.
Cam Neely It seemed like whenever Neely was on the ice something exciting would happen. Fight, hit, score.
Brian Sutter In 1980 my dad took me to my first hockey game, I was 9. It was the Kings hosting the Blues and immediately Sutter became a player that I followed. One of the smaller power forwards ever but was as tough as they come. He is the oldest Sutter brother so you know he is a gamer.
Behn Wilson For a guy like me that likes his hockey tough Behn Wilson was a prototype d-man.
Rick Tocchet Started his career off as pretty much just a fighter but ended up a top power forward. Plus Tiger Williams was one of his idols.
Stu Grimson As tough as they come. He lost his share of fights but was known to get revenge later. Was always willing to fight anyone. Plus one of the best nicknames ever. The Grimson Reaper.
Marty McSorley A madman!
Ken Baumgartner Not the biggest fighter around but in his prime and before the injuries came he was one of the best. The Bomber.
Craig Coxe Craig Coxe grew up in socal so I'm a little partial but this guy lost several fights badly in his career and he cut easily but always came back for more.
Ian Laperriere He is not a great fighter or very big but he has spent several seasons of his career as one of his teams main enforcers and fights out of his league regularly. Gutsy player and a great teammate.
Chris Nilan Excellent at getting inside on a guy yet would still throw big punches. One of the best uppercuts ever.
Larry Playfair Was considered by many to be heavyweight champ before guys like Probie and Brown entered the league. Big puncher who fought in possibly the best era for fighting.
Kevin Westgarth Big entertaining fighter with a real heavy punch and a great jaw.
Stan Smyl Tough little dude that was loyal, hardworking, physical and was a true power forward, which is saying a lot when he was only 5'9.
Matt Hervey Not very big but could skate well and was willing to drop the gloves, but the main reason he is on my list is I played at the Norwalk Ice Arena were Hervey played a lot of his youth hockey in socal and he came back from the WHL during the summer to work with us kids. He remembered his roots.
Joe Paterson An underrated fighter that was one of the best lefties ever.
Jim Fox Obviously not a fighter but he has been with the Kings organization for over 30 years as a player, PR guy and analyst. Very loyal and classy guy. I got to meet him once after a Kings game and he was really great to me and my family. By the time I got done kissing up he was jokingly calling me his agent.
D.J. King If he could stay healthy he would be one of the contenders for HW champ, as matter of fact IMO he is anyways.
John-Paul Kelly Not much of a fighter but was an incredible hitter.
Kelly Buchberger Early in his career with the Oilers he was a pretty good fighter but eventually became a punching bag. Even though he would usually get killed in his fights he would still go especially if he was sticking up for a teammate. Became a real solid penalty killer later in his career also and always gave his all.
Jim Cummins Probably lost more than he won but always fought the other teams best and would go toe-to-toe. Very entertaining fighter.
Craig Berube Possibly the meanest cuss of his time. The Chief went with all the best and at one time or another beat all the best. Also one of the best mullets in hockey history.
Gord Donnelly Could be the most underrated fighter of his time. Played in the tough old Adams Division and did very well.
Lee Norwood Wasn't a great fighter at all, probably a bit dirty, wasn't overly skilled but it seemed like whenever he was on the ice the game would get more physical and rough. It was facewash galore when Norwood was out there.
Jeremy Yablonski What a beast. Yablonski is a freaking machine when he fights. A minor league legend who could go with anybody in the NHL or any other league.
Kyle Clifford Gutsy guy who plays his heart out and will fight anyone.
Dustin Brown As physical of a player as there is, a great talent who does a ton of community work, does not fight much but love watching him play.
Dave Taylor Very tough hockey player that worked his tail off at all times. Couldn't fight well at all but had guts.
Terry Ruskowski Tough little guy that could fight and always played with nasty toughness.
Dennis Polonich Mean, dirty little cuss.
Wayne Simmonds Solid hockey player that works his tail off every shift and can more than handle himself with the gloves off.
