George McPhee | Small with the heart of a lion. Most of his wins are against much bigger men. Without back injuries he could have been a force.
Chris Nilan | Knuckles Nilan. Controversy was always near him..he played on the edge, never missed a chance to get the jump on someone and probably would go with anyone anytime. One of the all-time great..and he knew how to play too.
Darren Langdon | Probably the best scientific fighter of all time. Tie up the arms and usually won by outlasting and outpointing his opponents. Probably should have been a boxer ..guy may have been the champ.
Bob Probert | All time heavyweight champ. Non better..and always looked for the kill.
John Kordic | Dominant fighter for many, many years with the jackhammer left. Left the world too soon.
P.J. Stock | One of the best all-time. Entertaining and TNT on the ice
Mark Janssens | Always an exciting scrapper. Big & tough and could throw with both hands
Kris King | Blood & Guts player.
Theoren Fleury | Coulda shoulda been a HOF'er. Tough as nails, showman and scorer. Did it all..
Adam Graves | Respect. Righted every wrong, strong as hell and won a lot more than he lost.
Pat Verbeek | Always loved the "Little Ball of Hate"
Jeff Beukeboom | BOOOOOOOK! Better player and booming body checker than fighter but always showed up and stuck up for his team and his physical play. Guys like him don't come around everyday. Sorely missed.
Rick Tocchet | Power forward to the extreme. Being a Ranger fan always hated but admired his play.
Joe Paterson | Smokin Joe -- left hand jackhammer and tough as nails
Joey Kocur | Hardest puncher ever.
Rich Sutter | Toughest Sutter next to Brian IMO...always enjoyed watching this little pit bull. Never backed down and threw them with anyone
Garth Butcher | Nasty defenseman who made you pay the price for standing in front.
Jordin Tootoo | Punishing body checker and ferocious fighter...would love him on my team.
Marty McSorley | One of the toughest guys to ever lace em up...and he could play too. Not always the most exciting of fighters, as he was a master at locking people out and winning with skill and brute strength..but not a boring hugger either. His fights with Probert were classics...and probably the only guy that actually handled Lindros.
Chris Simon | Ferocious and intimidating..had some nice years as a power forward before really stepping up as a full time enforcer. Like the old school guys, you could tell he was really looking to inflict punishment on whoever dared to go with him. Powerful left, size and crazy factor...he was a force for many, many years.
Brad May | Reminded me a lot of Tocchet in that he had a mean streak a mile wide. He could be on the dirty side but his fights were always entertaining.
Mario Roberge | Lightweight with the heart of a lion. Very skilled fighter and lightening fast. Deserved more than the 4 years or so he spent in the NHL...like PJ Stock he deserved to be a regular for many, many years.
Shane Churla | Chainsaw Churla - fearless in every sense of the word. Loved to stand back and let em fly. Few chose to engage him this way..and most who did lost.
Larry Melnyk | Lefty was an honest say at home D, who took absolutely zero crap from anyone. Never backed down, even in times when he should (Dave Richter) but always stood up for himself and teammates whenever possible, and pulled off some impressive wins (vs Dave Brown in particular). Was upset when the Rangers traded him fresh off his win vs. Dave Brown..
Ronnie Stern | Didn't always win, but damn he was fun to watch. Was not a clutch and grab fighter, def loved to stand back and just throw 'em.
Gerald Diduck | Nice D-man and being a Ranger fan always respected Diduck as a player and tough as nails blueliner.
Tie Domi |
Bryan Marchment |
Michel Petit |
