Chris Nilan could usually hold his own against virtually all of the heavyweights in the league, but not with Behn Wilson. This is from the Montreal Gazette:

"...the boos that echoed in Behn Wilson´s ears last season turning to cheers when the Philly defenseman pumelled Chris Nilan in a one-sided encounter and drew in a sweater-tugging rematch. But Nilan, who exited smiling, if not winking, with a large bruise over his left eye, felt worse about coughing up the puck on the Flyers first goal."

"We were in Philadelphia and I felt somebody give me a jab with their stick and I didn't know who it was so I jab him back and I look around and it's Bobby Clarke. So I'm going, 'oh no, I'm in a fencing duo with Bobby Clarke', right? So, all of a sudden, somebody grabbed me and then threw me up against the glass and I actually had my feet off the ice and it was Behn Wilson. He was a real tough guy, one of the Flyers' enforcers, right? So he had his arm cocked and he says, 'if you ever touch Bobby Clarke again,' he says, 'I'm gonna effin kill you.' He says, 'as a matter of fact,' he said, 'I might effin kill you right now.' I figure I'm dead, my face will be just pulverized. And all of a sudden he's lying on the ground. Chris came in and hit with one punch and knocked him out and basically saved my life. Because I could've, I could've been dead." - Mark Napier from the documentary "The Last Gladiators"Reply
