 BattleshipRules 2058 fight reviews Jun 10, 2012 16:55 ET | Rudy Poeschek clear win | Fun 6 |
Poeschek squared off with the tough Ken Daneyko in his first NHL fight. Rudy paid his dues and fought his way through the minor leagues. He was a seasoned fighter and ready to face top foes in the NHL.
Poeschek missed with his first couple of left hands. Daneyko landed a decent left hand. Rudy really got going with his right hand. He threw a bunch of punches in a row. Poeshek missed with his first right. He landed a decent punch with his next blow. He missed with his next punch. Then, he landed a couple of solid uppercuts.
Daneyko was not firing back and he was starting to eat punches and fall behind on the scorecard. Rudy continued to work the right hand. He landed a couple of more partial connects. He missed with a couple more attempts. Ken seemed to want to end this bout. He grabbed Rudy by the stirrup on his pants and looked like he wanted to take him down. The refs stepped in at this point to stop the bout.
I rate this as a clear win for Poeschek. It was a one-sided fight and Daneyko didn't land much in return. However, Rudy didn't land anything really big. He certainly had some solid connects, but Daneyko was never badly hurt at any point. I can understand why some reviewers saw this as a decisive win. Daneyko was in survival mode for most of the bout. It looked like he wanted out at the end. However, I see this as a clear win because Poeschek didn't come close to knocking down Ken in the bout. |

michiann 3376 fight reviews May 21, 2012 18:47 ET | Rudy Poeschek clear win | Fun N/A |
| After a break in the action, the video begins with this fight in progress. Poeschek sort of blistered Daneyko with 8 facial/head punches which included a thundering uppercut. Daneyko only managed to score with 2 facial-punches. Clear win for Poeschek but this cannot be a decisive win because Poeschek stopped throwing swings for the last 7 seconds of the fight and that's when the refs moved in. |

| Poeschek's first shift in the game and he drops the gloves with Daneyko. We missed the beginning of the fight, but in the end Poeschek landed a bunch of right hands to the head of Daneyko. Win Poeschek. |

| Hard to see what happened from the live feed, but the replay was good and showed Poeschek landing two or three good punches at the start. Rooney went down to his knees and linesmen jumped in. |
