| Mike Busniuk and Chris Nilan drop the gloves and squareoff near the Philadelphia Flyers' net. Nilan gets in tight and lands a right as Busniuk misses a right. Busniuk loses his helmet and then Nilan misses a right, then a left. Nilan misses two more rights as Busniuk misses a right. They pause, then Nilan lands a right as Busniuk misses a right. Busniuk ducks while Nilan throws two rights and lands one. Busniuk falls down and covers up as Nilan holds back on a right. The linesmen come in and split them up. Win Nilan as Busniuk was down and covering up so the linesmen jumped in. Not that good of a fight in my mind. |
BattleshipRules 2088 fight reviews Apr 18 14:44 ET | Chris Nilan win by TKO | Fun 5 |
Nilan and Busniuk squared off and Mike missed with a right hand. Chris landed a solid right and Busniuk grabbed him in a headlock. Chris missed a left and a couple of rights. Mike landed a partial connect and missed a right. Nilan landed a solid right and Busniuk put his head down. Nilan landed another good right and Mike flopped to the ice. Mike was on the ice and covering up at the end of the contest.
I rate this as a TKO win for Nilan. Busniuk went down from a good punch. The knockdown was a bit messy, but Mike appeared to be dropped by a very effective blow. Busniuk was covering up and holding his face as the refs were protecting him. Mike also stayed down for awhile on the ice in the aftermath. |

| Montreal almost scores on the play and in front of the Flyers goal as Nilan is battling for position with Busniuk. Nilan's gloves are high and Busniuk gives him a light tap with his stick. Nilan retaliates with the stick and then Busniuk swings it in the air. They drop the gloves and have a short squareoff. Nilan comes charging in low with his head and they both get in tight. Busniuk seems to go for a hold. Busniuk throws a couple of short rights, but Nilan is more aggressive with a combination of a left and a series of rights. Nilan throws a nice bodyshot and Busniuk is a bit off balance and then opts to cover up (turtle ?) on Nilan. |

These two square off to the right of the Philadelphia net. Just as they come together, Nilan lands a good right hand to get things going. Busniuk tries to keep the fight in close, but Nilan is able to get his right free and unload. Busniuk tries to hold on and contain Nilan but is unable to. After Nilan is able to land a few rights, Busniuk falls to his knees and turtles. Nilan cocked back his right, but held up and didn't punch the turtling Busniuk. The linesmen get in and end it before Nilan changes his mind.
Decisive win for Nilan in this one against the overmatched Busniuk. |

| Busniuk who was a tough d-man was over his head in this one. Nilan gets Busniuk into good position and has his right hand free. Busniuk looks to trade rights with him but a after a decent right by Nilan Busniuk puts his head down and keeps tossing. Nilan with his head up lands a real nice right stunning Busniuk who bails and goes down. Nilan was taken to task later on though by Cochrane was a more legit fighter on the Flyers roster. |

 BattleshipRules 2088 fight reviews Sep 14, 2012 15:47 ET | Glen Cochrane clear win | Fun 7 |
Nilan and Cochrane went at it with gusto in this fight. Glen got off to a fast start. Chris was usually careful to get a good grip on his opponent early in a bout. Cochrane was the bigger, stronger man and he was a hard guy to tie up. Glen threw rapid punches right from the outset.
Glen missed with his first right hand. He landed a pretty good punch with his next blow. He followed up by landing a big uppercut that dropped Chris briefly to his knees. Cochrane was fighting Nilan at a distance. He was able to get his arms fully extended and unleash a flurry of blows. Nilan was a good infighter and he was clearly on the disadvantage on the outside.
Glen missed with a blow as Chris quickly got back to his feet. He landed a pretty good shot. Then, he landed another solid punch. Cochrane missed with his next punch. Then, he landed a few decent partial connects.
Nilan survived the opening onslaught and worked his way on the inside. He was well behind on the scorecard. Chris got his right hand going. He landed a decent right. Then, he landed a solid blow. Glen landed a partial connect. He missed badly with a follow up attempt. Nilan was finally able to clamp down on Glen's right arm. Chris missed with two right hands. The two began to wrestle and Nilan fell on top of Cochrane. the refs stepped in to stop the bout.
I rate this as a clear win for Cochrane. He scored a knockdown with a big right hand. He also landed a few solid blows and some partial connects. He landed several more punches than Nilan. Glen put some hurt on Chris with the knockdown blow. Nilan made a comeback in the bout so the win has to be regarded as clear rather than decisive. |

These two go at it at center ice. Right when they come together, Cochrane swarms Nilan with right hands. Cochrane lands well and even forces Nilan to his knees briefly. Cochrane fought with a fury here mixing in overhands and uppercuts. Nilan has trouble getting going and has difficulty containing Cochrane. Once he is able to slow Cochrane down, he is way behind on points. He attempts a comeback but after a few shots they wind up in close. They then wrestle briefly before going down with Nilan on top.
Cochrane was able to overwhelm Nilan at the outset in this fight. Nilan was unable to comeback. Clear win for Cochrane. |

| They both go at it at mid ice while still in full stride. Cochrane just overwhelms Nilan and is pounding away at him. Nilan never gets the chance to come back, Cochrane very effectively keep Nilan at bay with his aggressive approach, throwing crisp rights with an occasional uppercut in there. Nilan briefly went down on one knee but eventually wrestles with Cochrane until they fall down to the ice. Nilan, known to study his opponents on tape quickly found out that you can't prepare for Cochrane's style of fighting. Cochrane could fight as a caged animal and that made him dangerous for any fighter out there, and many avoided him. |
