| Tim Hunter goes with Chris Nilan well behind the play. They drop the gloves and grab onto each other. At first they grapple but then Nilan opens up while Hunter tries to get his left out of his jersey but it gets stuck inside. Nilan takes the opportunity and throws three rights, landing the first but falling short with the next two. Nilan then slips and tries to pull Hunter down too but Hunter stays up and goes to his right. Hunter connects with a right just as the linesmen start to come in. Hunter is then pulled down by Nilan, ending the fight. Draw, both landed a single punch. Bad fight, not much went on. |

Hunter and Nilan were going at it. The announcer said that this was payback for some stick work Chris had done on Lanny McDonald. Tim tried to tie up Nilan's arms. Chris managed to get a right hand free. He landed a decent blow and missed a couple of shots. Nilan slid to the ice after losing his balance. Tim tried to take advantage, but he was only able to land a partial connect before the refs stopped the contest.
I rate this fight as a draw. Neither man was able to land anything with authority. Both men landed one blow apiece. This was an even and boring contest. |

| Bourgeois threw one shot at Walter and then muscled him down. As the refs got in he started to throw some late, wild haymakers. Not really did Bourgeois deserve the win here. |
