For the sixth time in their careers and fifth time of the season (once in preseason and the other four in regular season play), Jay Miller and John Kordic add another chapter to their growing rivalry. They drop them at the end of play and Miller loses his balance as Kordic misses a left. Miller gets up with his sweater coming off and grapples briefly with Kordic. Kordic throws six lefts then and lands four as Miller just ducks and then misses a right that causes him to go down. Miller gets up and throws three lefts, landing the first, missing the second as Kordic lands a right, and missing the third as well. Miller misses a right and Kordic comes back with two lefts, connecting with one. Miller ducks and misses two rights while Kordic misses five lefts. Miller throws two rights and lands one before Kordic misses a left. They grapple for a while and Miller moves in tight where he connects on two rights. Kordic then lands two lefts and Miller misses a right. Kordic also misses a right and they continue to wrestle, Kordic landing two rights before Miller misses a right. Kordic then misses two rights and has his helmet dislodged, then Miller connects with a right as they stand back. Kordic lands a left as Miller lands a right and then Kordic connects on a right as Miller misses a right. They get back in tight where they resume wrestling, Miller landing a left and then Kordic missing a left. Miller then lands two lefts and Kordic lands a left. Miller connects with a left and Kordic also connects with a left while they wrestle. Miller then throws three rights and lands one before Kordic misses a left. Kordic then misses a left while Miller lands a right, and then Kordic misses a left. Miller misses a right and then finally gets rid of his sweater entirely but the linesmen choose that time to step in and end it. Miller slammed the door shut and was clearly distraught. A long bout and a good one; much like their previous battles. I thought it was pretty even, both landed a good number of punches but weren't able to really connect all that well. Draw.

Great scrap! Miller lost his jersey early so Kordic was at a disadvantage but still landed some bombs.

Not one of their classics, but still better than average. Miller loses the jersey early in the bout, so there's a bit more clutching from Kordic than usual. Kordic lands a few lefts early, Miller lands a great upper-cut in the middle of the bout, and after that there's a lot of close contact. Still pretty good, and in no way is this a win for either man.

Kordic was manhandling him first then miller lost his jersey and seem to rally back as he got a good uppercut in on Kordic. But I still have to give the narrow win to Kordic. He threw more and did really well for being at a disadvantage after millers jersey came off.

Long fight, Kordic has the upper hand early, Miller's jersey comes off and he recovers, but overall I'd say Kordic landed a bit more. Lot of grappling in this one.

Both guys land quite a few blows in this back and forth bout. Nobody gets an advantage or does any damage, draw.

Break this fight up into 2 segments: while they have a bit of distance between themselves and then when they are in tight. While they have space between each other, kordic is scoring with alot of punches while miller is connecting only periodically > thus edge here by kordic. 2nd segment shows while they are in tight, they each score with an equal number of intight punches. Thus, overall, kordic in a narrow win.

NIce long bout with a lot of action. I would tend to agree with the other reviewers who gave Kordic an edge in this one. Although the numbers show the punch counts to be almost identical, the winner of a fight can't always be determined just by who throws more punches. It looked as if Kordic did have more quality shots than Miller and tried to control the action a little more, although I'll preface that by saying that the camera did get there after the fight had begun and the quality of the film footage wasn't the best. All in all, edge to Kordic but I can understand why some may have viewed it as a draw.

Miller slashes Chelios at center ice and gets a penalty, Nilan goes after him and they drop the gloves. They get in tight, Nilan then starts firing some rights, but doesn't seem like much connects. They get in tight again, Nilan with some more rights to the side/back of Miller's helmet while Miller really can't get started. Nilan then kind of trips Miller and they tumble to the ice. Not a great fight, give the edge to Nilan who landed only shots.
