| Joe Paterson goes after David Maley, Maley ignoring Paterson for a long time. Eventually though, Maley has enough of it and drops them with Paterson. They get a grip of the other's jersey with the right and start whaling away with lefts. Paterson throws six and lands three before losing his grip for a moment which forces him to stop throwing. Maley throws six lefts of his own and lands two, one of them knocking the helmet off of Paterson. As Paterson is regaining his grip of Maley, Maley misses two lefts. Afterwards Paterson has his grip back and resumes firing lefts with Maley. It lasts longer than the first time, with Paterson throwing twelve and landing five. Maley throws ten and lands four before they both stop and begin to wrestle. Paterson switches hands while they wrestle and misses three rights as they go up against the boards. The linesmen wade in and start to break it up but Paterson doesn't want to stop. Paterson throws five rights and lands two as Maley just ducks his head and the linesmen attempt to restrain Paterson. Paterson struggles against them for a long time before finally tiring and the linesmen are able to break him apart from Maley. A good fight, two good exchanges with plenty of punches landed by both. I'd say it was an even fight. |

| I have this fight on tape although it was shot from far away with a hand-held camera. It was toe-to-toe, each throwing punches to the face continuously for a stretch of time. It would have been greater to see this up-closer. Maley made his mark with this fight since he's the "new kid on the block" at this time. |
