BattleshipRules 2413 fight reviews Jun 15 21:23 ET | Larry Playfair narrow win | Fun 5 |
Nilan and Playfair battled on the inside. Larry missed a few rights and missed a left. Chris landed a decent right. Playfair landed a solid right uppercut. Chris landed a body blow. Larry landed a decent blow and an average shot. Nilan landed a couple of decent overhand punches. He landed a decent blow and an average connect. Larry missed a couple of punches and landed a solid right. He hauled Chris to the ice and that ended the bout.
The fight was close and competitive. I rate it as a narrow win for Playfair. Larry landed the blows with better pop. The men were about even in numerical terms. Playfair's edge in punching power was the biggest factor in the win. |

| Playfair and Nilan tangle here. They come together after a whistle and drop the gloves. Playfair tries to get the rights going early, but Nilan does a good job of containing him. They both stay in close and try to throw some rights, but neither really gets going. Nilan tries to land a few rights in the end, but Playfair pulls Nilan down and the linesmen get in. Draw. |

| Started during a stoppage. Not a great fight, Playfair threw more punches and I think he landed the better punches before pulling Nilan down. I can see a draw as well but I give the edge to Playfair. |

michiann 3432 fight reviews May 29, 2012 11:05 ET | Chris Nilan narrow win | Fun N/A |
Nilan harasses one of the kings as Playfair plays policeman. Playfair threw 1 facial-punch & 1 helmet-punch. Nilan's first punch was a sidearm swing that clearly connected to the face of playfair. Then his next 2 punches were either to the back of the helmet or back of the neck ... and then his last 2 punches facially-connect. Playfair couldn't cope with him, so he jerks him down to the ice in order to end the battle, which sadly to say, is a cop-out by Playfair.
I'm surprised at anyone here who called this a win for Playfair ... they better have a 2nd look at this because i can see how some people can misinterpret Playfair's switching of his hands during the jersey-grappling while misconstruing these as punches. Nilan surprises here in a subtle, narrow win against Playfair. |
