| Chelios hits Crowder in from of the net. Crowder goes after Chelios, but it looks like Chelios is the own one to land anything with 3 or 4 minor punches to the back of the head. The linesman are in there to break it up before it start's. |

hb11 3518 fight reviews May 4, 2006 23:26 ET | Lyndon Byers narrow win | Fun 6 |
| Byers fares better here than the previous night's fight. He misses with some wild swings early, lands a body punch, takes 2 from Kordic and throws a punch to the back of Kordic that shakes his balance and then lands a solid right to the fallen Canadien before the linesmen separate them. |
mikekole 56 fight reviews Jul 27, 2007 22:42 ET | Lyndon Byers narrow win | Fun 5 |
| Byers definitely showed better here than he did the previous night against Kordic. Not looking lost as he had the night before. A pretty even bout- They start by trading 2-3 each, then tie up. Byers gets his left free and sends an uppercut in that seperates the two. They trade one each and then Byers lands a solid left to Kordic's helmet, sending John to the ice. Byers gets in two late rights- surprising the force he threw those with, considering the cast on the injured wrist. Nice bit of redemption for Byers. |

MetalHead2010 272 fight reviews Jan 27, 2010 08:41 ET | Chris Nilan narrow win | Fun 3 |
Chris Nilan VS Gord Kluzak January 14th / 1988
In behind the play Chris Nilan and Gord Kluzak drop the gloves and grab on. According to the announcers in the video provided, the camera had already missed Nilan throwing a couple of rights at Kluzak. When the camera gets to the two, they are tied up pretty good with Kluzak trying to get his right arm free but Nilan has him tied up pretty good. Neither Nilan or Kluzak look interested in this fight. Finally Kluzak gets his right arm free and is just about to start throwing some punches at Nilan, but Nilan slams him to the ice.
A very narrow win here for Chris Nilan, a lot of my judgement on this is because the announcers said before the camera got to them he was tossing right hands, and then he got the takedown later on in the bout so I'll give him a very narrow win here. |

| Not much of a fight here, but it was a good example of the kind of head games somebody like Nilan can play. While sitting in the penalty box, Nilan talks trash to Kluzak. According to reports, Nilan told Kluzak he was going to mess up Kluzak's knee and send him back to Salem State. He was referring to Kluzak's history of knee troubles, and how he attended summer classes at Salem State College. Kluzak flips out while in the penalty box visibly upset at the alleged threat. He gets a 10 minute misconduct knocking him out of the game. Meanwhile, Nilan is sitting in the box continuing to taunt Kluzak. |

Jocke Jul 3, 2006 09:41 ET | Officials dealt out 142 penalty minutes. Referee Dave Newell called 12 majors for fighting, a pair of 10-minute misconducts, and 32 minors. In the first period, which took just less than one hour to complete, there were 27 penalties for a total of 66 minutes. "It was the kind of game we had to have after the way they played in Montreal. They took some cheap shots so we had to play a physical game tonight to respond to that." - said Terry O'Reilly. | Reply |
