Ovechkin962 Mar 5 12:25 ET | Should be unfair IMO. Yes they were throwing punches, but the refs were between them during the whole scrap. | Reply |

Curran and Nilan had a heated rivalry going in the mid 1980's. These were two guys who relished their roles as enforcers. Nilan landed a good right hand at the beginning of the bout. He followed up with a shot to the body. Curran had trouble getting shots off in the early stages of this one because Chris had a good grip on his jersey.
Curran's jersey came off and he was freed up to land some shots. Brian landed two moderately hard uppercuts on Nilan. Both guys began to wrestle for a time and Brian was able to get a headlock on Chris. Curran landed a quick uppercut without much pop. Nilan wrestled and got himself into a better position to land shots. He was able to land a good uppercut on Brian. Chris landed a couple more weak rabbit punches and Brian took him down ending the scrap.
This fight appeared to be a draw. Both guys landed almost equally and with similar impact on their blows. No one was able to have a sustained flurry in this bout to get out to a lead. Both men immediately fired back and scored once the other seemed to be gaining momentum. This was a spirited effort by both men in a good scrap. |

long fight for old timers, 50 seconds. Curran had a good flurry early on in the fight, but after that didn't do much but hold while Nilan kept trying to fight back. No real damage done, almost tempted to give Curran the edge for the little flurry but it's too close to call
lol, as they skate to the box Curran is REALLY sucking wind! Looks like he's hyperventilating or about to throw up or something. He's trying to give fans high fives as he skates off but he can barely muster the energy |
