Nilan and Fox come together at the end boards in the Chicago end. Both get their arms up and drop their gloves beside the Chicago net. They lock up and grapple with neither getting loose. Nilan puts Fox in a headlock and tries to sneak a few rights in but nothing lands. They then go down and the linesmen break it up.
