Chris Nilan narrow win Fun
5
Chris Nilan goes after Jay Caufield after Caufield gave Ron Greschner a gloved punch to the head after Greschner lost his helmet. They drop the gloves and grab on. Nilan gets in close quarters right away trying to neutralize the big size advantage Caufield has. Nialn stays in fairly close quarters with Caufield from start to finish. They grapple for much of the fight, jostling for position but both do throw selectively. Caufield isn't extremely active, mostly just holding on and grappling, but he does throw seven really short rights, landing only two. Nilan does considerably less grappling than Caufield and Nilan throws thirteen rights, landing six, including one that connects quite nicely and dislodges Caufield's helmet. The whole scrap lasts just longer than a half minute before the linesmen get in and break them apart. Okay scrap. Win to Nilan for landing better.

Chris Nilan narrow win Fun
4
Caufield brings his gloves up on Greschner and Nilan backs him up and skates over to drop the mitts. Caufield grabs on and Nilan lands a couple of short rights to the cheek early. Caufield is content to hold on and play defense. Nilan lands a few more to the helmet but this isn't a very exciting fight. The linesmen let it go on awhile but Nilan has trouble breaking through to inflict any pain. He misses a few late and lands a last second body punch before the officials intercede. Narrow win for Nilan.

Caufield throws punch of Greschner and Nilan sees this and goes after Jay, who knows Nilan is coming. Pretty uneventful fight as both landed few harmless shots.

Chris Nilan clear win Fun

Nilan definitely landed more punches and the better ones as well. Narrow or clear win Nilan, I'm leaning towards clear win.

They wrestled along the board. Both threw only few punches. Boring fight.

Greschner was suspended for the final three regular-season games for abuse of an official. Rod Buskas had pulled Greschner's hair during the fight. Angry that the officials had not seen the hair-pulling, Greschner spit water at linesman Ron Asselstine after arguing the lack of a penalty call. Greschner was thrown out of the game and was suspended the following day.Reply

Michel Petit takes Dan Quinn into the boards and gets his stick up. Petit ends up hitting Quinn in the head and Quinn drops to the ice and holds his head. Petit falls on Quinn but gets up and keeps playing while Quinn lies there. Dirty move but not a serious cheapshot. Emotion
