Shane Churla decisive win Fun
6
Churla levelled Petit behind the net so Ruff comes in to stand up for his teammate. But Ruff doesn't do a very good job. They wrestle to start but Churla gets the right going and lands several and Ruff can't get anything going. After taking several rights Ruff feels it's safer to hug and he pulls himself in close to Churla. Ruff stays in tight with Churla hugging him until the linesmen come in.

I'll call it a decisive win because after Churla landed several rights Ruff didn't want to fight anymore and he started to hug Churla and he wrestled with him until the linesmen came in.

Mark Tinordi clear win Fun

New York Rangers' enforcer Chris Nilan goes with Minnesota North Stars' rough and tough defenseman, Mark Tinordi. It's Nilan's first fight after he missed thirty-eight games due to a pelvic injury. They shed the mitts and grab on with the left. They start in close but stand back as Nilan misses a right. Tinordi misses two rights and Nilan gets back in close. Then Nilan stands back and throws rights with one connecting. Then Tinordi throws four rights and lands one. Nilan just leans away from Tinordi who throws four rights and lands three. Nilan then misses a right and Tinordi connects with yet another two rights. Nilan then resumes leaning away from the larger Tinordi who throws three rights and lands two. Tinordi gets in close and dislodges Nilan's helmet and lands three rights. Tinordi misses a right and then Nilan throws two rights and lands one. Tinordi misses three rights then shakes off his elbow pad. Nilan lean away and Tinordi throws four rights and connects with one. Then a linesman takes off Nilan's helmet as it dangles from his head. Tinordi misses a right, Nilan misses a right, and Tinordi misses a right. Then as Tinordi misses a right, Nilan misses a right and gets in close. Tinordi misses a right and the linesmen get their arms in between them and put a halt to the scrap. Good, long, tilt between heavyweights. Win Tinordi as Nilan was quite inactive which let Tinordi land many more.

Tinordi never gave Nilan a chance to get into the fight. Tinordi was much stronger here. Nilan tried to block Tinordi's punches but didn't do much himself. Neither one of Tinordi's punches did any damage but he did most of the punching. At one point Tinordi managed to get Nilan down on his knees. Nilan just seemed to have a difficult time holding on to Tinordi.

Nilan lands 1 punch in the begining of the fight and then surprises tinordi towards the end of the fight when he played possum and then threw those unexpected punches but only 1 of these connected. I counted 5 facial connected punches by tinordi since all his other punches either didn't reach the face of nilan or they were helmet shots. Nilan always looks cowardly when he plays that possum role during fights.
