Chris Nilan narrow win Fun

When camera gets there these two are going at it. McSorley is trying to ragdoll Nilan. Marty throws an uppercut that misses and Nilan throws three rights that miss. Nilan lands a nice uppercut and then throws a right that looks to just miss. More wrestling and McSorley then starts throwing rights to the back of Nilan's helmet. He lands about 7 or 8, but the two are in tight and there's not much power behind those punches. Nilan suddenly answers and lands a right to the left side of McSorley's face. Nilan then switches hands and lands a solid left to the face of Marty. That punch looks to stun McSorley for a second but he quickly recovers and starts punching the back of Nilan's helmet again, he lands three shots, but then the linesmen decide to get in. McSorley is real pissed and looks like he tries to headbutt Nilan when the linesmen are in. McSorley still wants to continue, the referee also gets there and warns McSorley and he is then pulled away. There is no way this was a clear win for McSorley, I'm a big fan of the guy but at best this was a draw for him. McSorley definitely threw more punches and also landed more, but he only managed to land punches to the back of Nilan's helmet. Nilan on the other hand threw less but picked his spots and managed to land a few shots that all landed well and especially that one left near the end was a good one and easily the best punch of the fight. Nilan wins this one on points.

McSorley threw the majority of the punches, but they were all to the back of Nilan's helmet. Nilan connected with a big left. When the linesman got in between it looked like the frustrated McSorley attempted a headbutt.

McSorley threw more but got nothing but the back of the helmet. Nilan threw less punches, but he landed a good right uppercut during the first half of the bout and landed a left hook flush on McSorley later on. McSorley mounted a comeback but could not get any in as he threw a few rights on the back of Nilan“s head. Good technical fight by Nilan against a bigger & stronger opponent.

Video begins as a fight in progress. Grappling is occuring and you can see that McSorley is yanking Nilan back and forth to create space between them while Nilan is fighting scientifically by keeping his head very near the shoulder of McSorley so that McSorley wouldn't have a good target. Nilan wins the war of strategy here because even though he's acting like an ostrich with his head in the sand, he periodically sneaks in 3 facialpunches which is his total for the fight. McSorley was frustrated because he never got to land a facialpunch, instead, he landed only helmetpunches that Nilan was able to absorb. You have to give Nilan the slight win here.
