Paul Sample clear win
Fight called Unfair by 94maxwell on Jan 18, 2008
Reason: Calle Carlsson never intended to fight back

Paul Sample and Calle Carlsson are fighting for the puck in behind the goals and Carlsson pins Sample up against the boards. Sample tries to break free but Carlsson then gives him another check up high to push him back against the boards. Sample is not happy and quickly throws the gloves down and lands two fast right hands on Carlsson. One of these punches hurt Carlsson and he clutches his face and goes down to the ice.

Blood starts dripping on to the ice and there's quits a bit leaking from Carlsson's face. Sample heads to the penalty box but Carlsson has to leave the game to get medical attention to treat his face wound.

Clear win Sample as he lands two punches and cuts Carlsson wide open, but its definitely an unfair fight as Carlsson had no chance to fight back.

Sample is skating into the corner for the puck, Carlsson gets in his way and puts the stick inbetween his legs, Sample's back goes against the boards and Carlsson begins to push him against them. Sample throws the gloves down, he throws a fast right hand which connects on Carlsson's face, Carlsson lets go with his left hand and Sample throws in a right hand bomb connecting on Carlsson's cheek. Carlsson falls to the ice holding his face, Sample falls down with him as he's still holding on.
Carlsson didn't even drop the gloves in this one, there's a lot of blood on the ice when he gets up to his knees.

Clear Win for Sample, he threw the only punches and cut Carlsson wide open

Sample reacts to being held up against the boards by Carlsson and drops the gloves and fires in two or three quick punches, breaking Carlsson's nose, Carlsson falls to the ice and the fight is over. Decisive win Sample.

Sample (SHE): 2 for fighting + 2 for roughing
Carlsson (NOT): 2 for fighting

"Carlsson took Sample into the boards and held him up which upset Sample for some reason who dropped the gloves, Carlsson was just squeasing him up against the boards but Sample got a couple of punches in, one of which cut Carlsson wide open. Carlsson fell to the ice with gloves fully on and just lay there, he was then escorted off. Nothing fight Calle wanted nothing to do with Sample." - Nottingham fan.

According to the commentators I heard online during this game Carlsson has a suspected broken nose and play was delayed while they cleaned the blood up from the ice.

Calle was cut wide open from one of Samples punches, and had to leave the ice to get treatment to his face.

Was cheap by Sample as he quickly throw the gloves down and never gave the other guy a chance to fight back.
